Coming Soon: The Definitive Ranking Of Every Disney Channel Original Movie

on

Let’s watch…A DISNEY CHANNEL MOVIE!

What a glorious, glorious commercial. You knew that if this middle schooler made his way on your TV to do a (painful) split in mid-air, you were in store for a great movie.

Was there anything better than Disney Channel Original Movies growing up? Talk about nostalgia. I remember staying home on Friday nights as a kid to watch these cinematic masterpieces with my older sisters, brother, and eventually little sisters. A Family Affair. You always hear the “Nick vs. Disney debate.” For me, I was a Nick TV show, but Disney was the king of movies. I’m such a nerd and a teenage girl when it comes to these movies, but I could care less because if you never watched any of these movies, you probably did not have a childhood.

Since I’m all about nostalgia, I have decided to bring these wonderful movies back into your life with the DG Rankings of Disney Channel Original Movies. That’s right, we are going to take a trip down memory lane. Zenon. Brink. High School Musical. Double Teamed. Motocrossed. The Luck of The Irish. All of these and more will be on the list.

So how many movies will I be reviewing? Not sure yet. I’m determining an appropriate time frame. A rough estimate will be from 1996 to 2008. So that’s like 60 to 70 movies. My plan is to release the rankings 10 at a time or some number if it divides out perfectly.

The point is that this is going to be a fun series that I hope can generate a lot of discussion for your friend groups. I would love to hear your suggestions or comments so please feel free to reach out to us on our Twitter or Facebook.

I’m hoping to have the first list out by next Monday so by then, I’ll have a set schedule as to when the lists will be coming out.

For now, all I can say is Get Ready.
