NBC Philadelphia – A Southwest Airlines flight landed safely in Philadelphia Tuesday after the jet violently depressurized when a piece of an engine flew into and broke a window, a passenger’s father tells NBC10.
I don’t even know where to begin. One moment you’re flying to Dallas. Next thing you know, you’re being sucked out of the plane. I can’t even comprehend that feeling. I’m sure you have witnessed plane crashes before in movies or watch scenes where bad guys get sucked out of the back of planes. To hear about one in real life is mind boggling. The thought of experiencing a crash makes me sick to my stomach.
I’m honestly at a loss for words. The idea of someone being partially sucked out of a plane AND being pulled back in is unfathomable. I’m running through the scenario in my mind. The explosion happens and you see this woman flying out of the plane. To have the presence of mind to try and pull her back in is how heroes are made. Hoping all of the passengers and crew are alright.
Still here is right, Joe, and for that, we are thankful.
UPDATE (3:25 PM):
Awful news. Praying there are no more casualties.
